
Many are aware of the 10 achievements of public health (e.g., vaccinations, motor-vehicle safety, safer workplaces, infectious disease control, coronary heart disease and stroke declines, safer/healthier foods, healthier mothers and babies, family planning, drinking water fluoridation, and tobacco recognized as a health hazard). Yet, public health achievements continue to be made. The graphic illustrates some of the many achievements that have been made over the last few decades. Take a moment to check them out.
