Bio

Hi there! I am Latricia Rhue. I’m a passionate advocate for the good health and well-being of all and strive to help all reach the pinnacle of good health. As the founder of Public Health Matters, I believe that good health is foundational to thriving and experiencing well-being, which is why it is important to ensure that everyone has access to healthcare and health resources.
I began my journey in public health earning my undergraduate degree from the University of South Carolina. Later, I earned my master’s degree in public health from George Washington University Milken Institute of Public Health. I have worked with federal agencies and non-profit organizations to design, implement, and evaluate programs that improve various aspects of health. In addition to programming, I have delved into health policy and done policy research. Some of the projects that I have worked on have focused on mental health, the health of young women and girls, and maternal child health. My interests include health equity, mental health of women and youth, and maternal and child health.
Projects
I have collaborated on and completed a variety of projects focused on providing effective solutions to public health issues. They include work on public health communication campaigns, policy analysis, policy research, grant proposal, presentations, program designs, evaluation as well as critical analysis. A few of them are included in the slide deck below.
